I love the part where you adopt the metaphor of being like a machine about to destruct, it is a nice concept. But the problem is the first half of the poem. It's really just lines and lines of accusation. There is nothing poetic about that.

How did we survive when fireworks were legal?

Fireworks have been outlawed for decades here in my town, fire hazard for homeowners. We had a lot of fun experimenting with them back in the , blowing the bark off elm trees that had Dutch elm disease, shooting pop bottle rockets straight out towards a target, putting firecrackers down red ant beds and blowing them up, using smoke bombs to scare off mosquitoes for awhile so we could play in the yard. My favorites were snakes and smoking monkeys and parachutes. The worst thing that happened was stepping on a hot wire from a sparkler (because we wouldn't wear shoes in the summer outdoors). After that we kept a bucket with water to put the wires in.

I registered an online class. Since it was my first online class, I had no idea how it would be taught. Before the first day of class, there was not anything else on the system except the Syllabus. Moreover, it was a new class created by the professor. I could not ask someone had already taken it for advice. After reviewing all the lesson materials and instructions when they were available, I decided to drop it. Another one of my summer classes is taking online too. I could not manage to learn them well because both of them are advanced classes and the lack of communication due to online teaching. I am not very familiar with the key date in summer term. No and for a few reasons. I know deaf people because of being involved in a volunteer work. Most deaf are very careful when they drive. Think about it...they cannot hear an ambulance or firetruck when it has it's siren is blaring. They are very conscious of what other cars are doing so they know when to pull over. However, the DMV doesn't say, we are not going to give them a driver's license because they sign instead of talk. With that said, there is a difference between texting or talking on the phone because that does not need to be done while driving. And further, the deaf person does need to be careful, he could endanger others, so basically you need both hands on the wheel as much as possible. If they are not being careful, the police do have a right to stop them.

My mom will not stop bothering me about modeling, its driving me crazy.. what should I do?

I am 17 years old, and I've been modeling since I was 13. My mom did a couple photo shoots when she was young, but she was never an actual model because she didn't meet the height requirements. My mom has always been involved in my modeling career as she should be, but lately she's been really bothering me. When she comes to my photo shoots he stands behind the photographer and starts posing (trying to get me to follow her instruction) Its really distracting for me and bothers me a lot. She hardly lets me go to photo shoots by myself, but I'm a lot more confident posing etc. when she's not around. I tried explaining that to her, and she took it very personally (we got in a huge fight about it) and still continues to come. She also is always asking me "what kind of exercise have you done today?" and sometimes when I'm snacking she gives me bad looks. She'll also tell me a bunch of weight loss tips. When she says these things it makes me feel as if she thinks im fat (Im 5'11" 135 lbs. which im pretty sure isn't fat.) She is also always telling me to go practice my poses and runway. When you go to the salon, they use a round brush and pull your hair downward to reduce frizz..its easy to do wit time and practice on yourself but yeah its a pain at first lol..if not desiring a nicer finish then by all means simply brush ur hair and blowdry. I use a heatsafe spray with keratin in it which was 20bucks from a salon it helps hair from getting fried during styling.

I do hate guys sometimes. The problem is, of course, I'm a man myself. How can you blame me? Consider the fact that men account for the vast majority of convicted murderers, rapists, serial killers, etc. I also loathe their treatment of women in particular. Why is it that, since women are (on average) physically weaker, men feel they could dominate them and perhaps even the whole world. Men ought to be wracked with guilt considering how women have been treated like prisoners for centuries. Only in recent decades have the majority of women worked outside the home and for wages. I want to like men, but I just think they come off as selfish, exploitative and untrustworthy pigs or bullies a lot of times. Much like all those testosterone-riddle misfits in high school. Also, because of men, there seems to be too much violence, atrocities and pornography. Like some others, I think a lot of men are downright ugly to look at. I wonder what women see in men sometimes. When men aren't scrawny or gangly, they have such ridiculous pot bellies. Furthermore, beefcakes like Arnold Schwarzenegger are just plain nasty or repulsive in my opinion. I was never a huge fan of beards or facial hair. Ultimately, there are far too many negative portrayals of men on television. Movies like Straw Dogs, Mad Max and The Accused depict them as scum-sucking low-lifes. I often wonder if the world would be a much better place without them. What do you all say?

Stress could be making your period late and the diarrhoea could be a stomach bug OR it could be IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) which can be caused through stress. How to get my 15 month old to be wary of her 6 week old sister?

My daughter doesnt throw much of a fit about having her little sister around BUT, if she sits on my lap in the recliner when Im burping the baby and gets mad while Im burping her shell slap the babies butt. Or in bed shell roll over and bang her head against her sister head. A little bit ago the baby was laying in my arms and she went to place her hands down to get a better look at my laptop and put her weight on her hand which was on the babies sternum. Its nerve wracking. I just bought a Sony Bloggie camcorder. New clips are made every time you turn the record button on. When I transfer them to my PC, I want to know if there is a way to combine these short, 30 - 45 second, clips into a larger file - "one that tells the whole story " say in 3-4 minutes. Has anyone worked full time while still trying to complete undergrad?

Yes, I have and it took me time to become stable so I cam finish school. I'm now 23 and a junior but I didn't quit. Since my mother caught cancer in 2007 I was forced to work. I also had surgery in 2008. Medical bills piled up so I work for Walmart full time. Working for Walmart is not bad bc they are usually open 24 hrs and work around your schedule. I'm full time and have been since day one. I also took an academic overload and passed all my classes with 22 semester hrs. I'm a full time student now. You have to figure out your balance, what you can handle and what you cAnt. I would say wait a semester after working to become a full time student bc if you never had a job... It will kill ya body and you'll just have to adjust your body::: sounds easier than said! My advice would be to take your core courses now, once you get 30 semester hours which ur over half way there then transfer to a school with your major. You may have to take out student loans there but that's okay, there is nothing wrong with that as long as you finish school and don't waist the money. You'll get a job after school to pay these back. As for medical bills, I'm sure they will let you pay on them a month. Don't eat out and put every penny toward your bills so you can knock them out once you graduate that way all you have is student loans to worry about. Your not going to get much sleep so use the 10 minute power naps as much as possible, sounds like a joke but it helps a lot. After you graduate, youll look back and see what you accomplished.

Found blood in 6 month old babies crib?!!?

I went into my babies room today to take his crib sheet off to wash it and I noticed a blood stain about the size of a small toy, at the end of his crib, I didn't notice this when I went to get him from his nap earlier on, but he did end up waking up with one of his legs stuck out of the bars (I was told not to use bumper pads by my doctor.) Obviusly this is pretty nerve wracking, no one wants to find blood in their babies crib. I looked him over and don't see any cuts or scratches on him, I have no pets either. Should I call the doctor? I got my permit about 2 weeks ago and start drivers ed classes in 2 weeks. So far, I have had 2 one hour behind-the-wheel road lessons. On my second day, we went into a lot of neighborhoods and kept turning A LOT. I hate turning.. I either go to fast/wide or too slow and end up stopping once I enter the new road... All of the sudden, when the **** hits the fan, everything falls back on the junior sailors and they are being written up left and right (and now threatened with drb/mast) for doing something wrong they didn't even realize they were doing wrong and are crying out for someone to give them an up to date SOP and offer them training so ONE way of doing things can be set in place and will be department-wide knowledge, instead of word of mouth instruction being passed down like "oh this changed, we do that now. Oh you can't do that anymore, we have to do this now." (when they remember to pass it down). My main question here is can these sailors be held this responsible even though they haven't received any training whatsoever? This is millions of dollars we're talking about here and I'm a firm believer that nothing can be done properly without adequate training. I'm having internet connection problems?

I have a normal desktop PC and an HP Compaq laptop. I'm having trouble getting my laptop connected to the internet. My old laptop was a Dell Mini and it connected to the internet as soon as I turned it on and logged in. This laptop,however,doesn't make things that easy. I hit connect to connect to my network, but it says it is not able to. My desktop PC loses internet connection as soon as I turn my laptop on. With my old laptop, both computers had internet connectivity at the same time. I have a feeling I don't have the settings right that will make both computers have internet access. It's really gets on my nerves, because every time I want to use my laptop, I'm running back and forth to both computers trying to get them connected. I have this lens, bought in October, 2008 that I used until recently on my Nikon D-60 and it ALWAYS autofocused with no problems at all. I recently bought the D3100 and while the kit 18-55 lens autofocuses perfectly, it will NOT autofocus the 55-200. The manual indicates that any AF-S lens should autofocus. Any ideas? Have there been 'upgrades' to the 55-200 in the last two years that would render my 'older' lens incompatible with the D3100? Wracking my brains here. Thanks!

To know that you are in just as much pain as they are with having to hurt them in anyway might help. Explain that in as simple of terms as you can and just remind him that you love him. That they are your reason for living and them in pain is the last thing you want. It is the one thing you are put on this earth to prevent and that the pain they are feeling now is to prevent any future pain. It isn't going to be perfect and it isn't going to be easy but love will always win out.

I have been searching the internet for instructions on making timing adjustments and every posting says something completely different. Some say you must buy some Special spark sensor thing that lights up markings on the fly wheel. Some say you must buy some kind of Special caliper that screws into the sparkplug hole. and others say just twist the idle adjust screw. Ghost Troubles In the Bathroom?

Recently, I had to do a presentation on ghosts. A boy in my class asked me what he should do with what he believes is to be a ghost. I was really skeptical at first but as he talked on I began to think 'why not give it a shot?' he tells me he thinks there is a ghost in his bathroom. It was odd for me because this guy was normally the jockster in class but when he said this and class began to laugh he became a bit angry and grew serious. He told me he has a towel hanger in his bathroom on which he sets his towel on everytime. Each time he set it on, no matter how tight, it'd fall. Now I too was at first 'Well your wrack must be slippery and your towel just keeps falling off.' but then he told me the towel falls into the same exact form each time.
