Ghost Troubles In the Bathroom?

Recently, I had to do a presentation on ghosts. A boy in my class asked me what he should do with what he believes is to be a ghost. I was really skeptical at first but as he talked on I began to think 'why not give it a shot?' he tells me he thinks there is a ghost in his bathroom. It was odd for me because this guy was normally the jockster in class but when he said this and class began to laugh he became a bit angry and grew serious. He told me he has a towel hanger in his bathroom on which he sets his towel on everytime. Each time he set it on, no matter how tight, it'd fall. Now I too was at first 'Well your wrack must be slippery and your towel just keeps falling off.' but then he told me the towel falls into the same exact form each time. He also went on to say he say one time the towel be held in the air for a second once pulled off the wrack and then put on the ground. He asked me what to do so I suggested talking to it, he tried but the ghost did not say a thing. I know this might be silly but do you guys have any practical suggestions? Maybe this will determine if its a ghost or not. And no weigi boards do not help =n=
