Why can't people see that by outlawing polygamy, cheating rose, proving we should be allowed more than one?

Only a small minority of men are able to afford one wife in societies where this is allowed, it was never something available to all men. And the women certainly do care. I remember seeing a woman on one of Michael Palin's travel programmes discussing it with him a few years ago, she was in a polygamous marriage, and she hated her husband's other wives.
