Okay, on my 3ds i can conncet to the internet fine but..?

... I can't get pokemon black to Connect to wifi, is it because I have a WPA internet thing? Yet I have heard that some people have WPA and their pokemon black can Connect fine. Can anyone give me instructions on how to get it to conncet? Thanks
