What are some cultural practices that have been outlawed such as the Native Sun Dance?

In 1895 the practice of the Sun Dance was outlawed because I guess Christian Canadians thought it was inhumane, and in 1829 the practice of Suttee was outlawed. I am looking for more examples of cultural practices that have been outlawed because of Christian authorities and christian morals.
